As the Chemnitz-Zwickau Student Services Organization, we support students at Chemnitz University of Technology, West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau, and the Saxony Cooperative State University. With reliability, dedication, and a clear goal in mind, we create the best possible conditions for a successful academic experience.
Whether it’s housing, dining halls, BAföG, counseling, childcare, or cultural activities—we see ourselves as a partner that supports students and enables them to focus on what matters most: their studies and their personal development.
Our work is based on the Saxon Higher Education Act and our bylaws. Responsibility for the activities of the Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau lies with two bodies: the Board of Directors and the Executive Board.
The Chemnitz-Zwickau Student Services Organization is primarily funded by the portion of the semester fee allocated to student services, as well as by grants from the Free State of Saxony. In addition, it generates its own revenue from dining halls, residence halls, and other services. The specific use of the student services fee is governed by our fee regulations.
