Source of funds

The Chemnitz-Zwickau Student Services Organization is primarily funded by the portion of students’ tuition fees allocated to the organization, as well as by grants from the Free State of Saxony. In addition, it generates its own revenue from dining halls, residence halls, and other services. You can find details on the funding on this page.

State subsidies (cost reimbursement) from the BAföG office: €2,144,736 (11.70%)

Municipal subsidies (Kita Campulino): €756,819 (4.13%)

Student fees (portion of semester fee): €1,965,903 (10.73%)

Revenue and other income: €11,307,843 (61.69%)

Investment grants from the State of Saxony for 2024

New construction to replace the Makarenkostraße dormitory: €500,000

Renovation of the dormitory at Innere Schneeberger Straße 23: €2,966,000

Redesign of escape and emergency routes at the Vettersstraße 70 dormitory: €240,992
