Club of Cultures

The Club der Kulturen (low-rise building), known among students as the CdK, has helped shape social and cultural life on the Reichenhainer Straße campus for nearly two decades as a student club, and has thus been an important part of student life.

Under the umbrella of the Chemnitz-Zwickau Student Union, the club rooms will continue to host a diverse range of cultural events. They are ideal for workshops, concerts, country-specific theme nights, game nights, barbecue evenings, parties, and, above all, as a meeting place for international students. In this way, the CdK remains a symbol of internationalism and open interaction in the heart of the Chemnitz University of Technology campus.

STEP 1
Please fill out the application and send it to cdk@swcz.de. The application must be submitted no later than two weeks before the planned event. We will then contact you to clarify any questions you may have.

STEP 2
You will receive the contract and other documents required for the rental. Please return the signed contract (a digital signature is also acceptable) to cdk@swcz.de. Upon request, we can also arrange a viewing appointment in advance.

STEP 3
You will receive the invoice from us. The total fee must be received in the landlord’s account before the keys are handed over (contract number = payment reference). Please ensure timely payment of the total fee. Cash payment of the usage fee is not possible.

STEP 4

The location and time for key pickup and return are contractually agreed upon (Section 3, Point 3 of the Room Usage Agreement). By signing, you agree to these terms (individual arrangements are possible). Please be sure to inform anyone picking up or returning the key on your behalf that the agreed-upon times must be strictly adhered to.
The CdK has three beverage refrigerators and a kitchenette for reheating food. A projection screen, a sound system (speaker system with various connections), seating, a stage, restrooms, etc., are available for use. Bar service is not currently available. However, the club allows for flexible personal use.
The CdK is approximately 200 square meters in size and can accommodate groups of up to 100 guests.
