The BAföG office staff assigned to your case are determined by the location of your educational institution and the first letter of your last name.

Our office hours are every Tuesday and Thursday (except on holidays) from 10:00 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 17:00. You can also call to schedule an appointment outside of these hours.

For general inquiries, please contact our offices in Chemnitz and Zwickau.

Information in sign language

The BAföG hotline of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space offers a sign language video call service. Deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens can use this service to receive information about BAföG directly in sign language via video call.
